Mother's Day Custard
Today was a gorgeous day to celebrate Mother's Day. The weather was in the 80's. We went to the zoo, went to Slim McGinn's (an Irish pub) for lunch and drove along the lakefront (that being Lake Michigan) to admire the daffodils, kites, and people enjoying the weather. Came home and cut up some fabric for sewing while Jeff visited his mom (my mom is in Seattle visiting my brother--dad, too).
I worked out hard this afternoon, ate a healthy dinner and then demanded custard. Jeff, Aidan, and I shared a brownie sundae. Taught Aidan to say "more" instead of grunting when he wanted more and he must have said "more" and "please" a hundred times. It was very cute!
Have gone to weighing myself once a week. Am down a total of 6 lbs with my high being 7 lbs. I have been working out 10 weeks now. Of course, in reading my threads you will see that I am not a devoted dieter but I have been working at it. No soda during the week, extra water, no sweets unless I'm PMSing or just plain lost control. Will start over tomorrow. I promise.
On a sad note, my new Springsteen CD that Jeff bought me isn't playing, our new G5 is on the fritz, no one is buying anything off my website, and eBay business is slow. Really, these aren't problems, just mood breakers. However, I am going to bed happy after such a gorgeous day.
